Information For:

Costs & Financial Aid

IU South Bend offers a quality education and an IU degree at a fraction of the price of many other universities. In fact, IU South Bend is one of the best educational values around with an average tuition rate of less than $5,500 per year.

Each year, IU South Bend disburses nearly $30 million in federal, state, university, and private aid. In fact, over 50% of our students receive some form of aid through grants (“free money” that is not paid back), scholarships, work-study or loans. Keep in mind that many companies offer tuition assistance for employees and their families.

Applying for financial aid is free and you need to apply each year. To apply, complete two forms (the FAFSA and the IU South Bend Financial Aid Form) and register for classes. The Office of Financial Aid can help you every step of the way.
