Frequently Asked Questions

A good rule of thumb is that if you need to ask, then you should probably have a model release signed. The university model release form can be downloaded here.

We require signed release forms from anyone participating in a marketing photoshoot.

When our photographers are taking photographs in public campus spaces where there is no expectation of privacy, we typically do not ask for people to sign a model release form. However, we always try to receive verbal permission to take photos.

If you have any concerns or questions about the model release, please contact us.

That depends on the nature of your project. If you requested event photography and need them soon after the event, please make note of that in your request. Otherwise, expect one to two weeks to receive your edited photos.

Any IU South Bend staff or faculty may request a portrait to be taken. We only take requests from students if they will be representing the university in a special or official capacity

Wear what makes you feel good about yourself! Being happy and comfortable with what you are wearing can help you feel more relaxed during the portrait session and will help to improve the final result. Additionally, try not to wear anything with tight, complicated patterns. Solid colors are always a good choice.

For the sake of consistency and quality control in our image editing we do not provide Raw files to clients. Raw files are an uncompressed and unprocessed image format used by photographers for photo editing. Think of it as a digital version of film that we then need to develop into the final image

Not a problem! Contact us, and we can help you figure it out.
